JIM CRITTENDEN

Jim Crittenden, 87, of Texarkana, Texas, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, in a local hospital. <br />Mr. Crittenden was born June 18, 1922, in Fulton, Ark. He was retired from Texas Employment Commission, a past commander of the American Legion, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and received the Distinguished “Youngman” award from the Texarkana Jaycees. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Crittenden, in 2002. <br />Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Mike and Pati Crittenden of Beaumont, Texas, and Steve Crittenden of Austin; two brothers, Bill Crittenden of Dallas and Bobby Crittenden of Texarkana; one sister, Ann Hensley of Winter Haven, Fla.; two grandsons and one granddaughter-in-law, J. Michael Crittenden of Spring, Texas, and Kelly and Natalie Crittenden of Carrollton, Texas; two great-grandsons; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 11 a.m. today at East Funeral Home, Moores Lane, with Dr. Steven Gibbs officiating.
