BILL CARR

DEKALB, Texas—William Jefferson Carr, 97, of DeKalb died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, in a Texarkana, Texas, hospital. <br />Mr. Carr was born Feb. 26, 1912, in West Bowie, Texas. He was retired from Union Oil Co., a Mason of the DeKalb Lodge and a member of Community of Christ Church, where he was an elder. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ruth Garramone. <br />Survivors include his wife, Vivian Carr of DeKalb; one son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Pamela Carr of DeKalb; four grandsons, Frank Garramone and William Garramone of Nashville, Tenn., Dale Carr Jr. of DeKalb and William Carr of Lawrence, Kan.; one son-in-law, Louis Garramone of Nashville; and six great-grandchildren. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bates-Rolf Funeral Home with Leroy Morgan and Gary Hess officiating.
