LARRY WARD

MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas—Larry D. Ward, 74, of Cookville, Texas, died Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, in Longview, Texas. <br />Mr. Ward was born July 21, 1935, in Electra, Texas. He was a teacher and coach, member of Retired Teachers Association, Janet Martin Sunday school class and Tennison Memorial United Methodist Church. <br />Survivors include his wife, Jean Ward of Cookville; one son and daughter-in-law, Monty and Candy Ward of Cookville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and Rick Loveless of Mount Pleasant and Missy and Mike White of Texarkana; one sister, Shirley Hackler of Longview; eight grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Tennison Memorial United Methodist Church with Church Huffman and Jackie Barrett officiating. Burial will be in Farmers Academy Cemetery under direction of Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
