CHARLIE WALKER

Charlie L. Walker, 97, of Spring, Texas, formerly of Hooks, Texas, died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, in a Woodlands, Texas, hospital. <br />Mr. Walker was born Jan. 25, 1912, in Winfield, Texas. He was retired from Red River Army Depot, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of Antioch Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Artie Walker. <br />Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Michael A. and Diana Walker of Spring; one grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Michael S. and Marsha Walker of Spring; one granddaughter, Kathy Walker of Savannah, Ga.; two great-grandchildren, Travis Walker and Kyle Walker of Spring; and a number of other relatives. <br />Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Cranford Graves officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Memorials may be made to Antioch Christian Church, P.O.
