DOLPH KIRKLAND

ATLANTA, Texas—Dolph F. Kirkland, 90, of Atlanta died Monday, Sept. 28, 2009, in Atlanta. <br />Mr. Kirkland was born Sept. 11, 1919, in Linden, Texas. He was retired from Red River Army Depot, a member of Bethsaida “Y” Baptist Church, Bivins, Texas, and a World War II Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Doss Kirkland. <br />Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Wayne Sikes of Atlanta; one brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Faye Kirkland of Atlanta; one grandson, Alan Sikes of Atlanta; two granddaughters, Lauri Anderson of Linden and Susan Rich of Atlanta; four great-grandchildren; five sisters-in-law; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hanner Funeral Service with the Rev. Clayton Sheets and Kenneth Peacock officiating.
