MARY FLORENCE

Mary Helen Florence, 73, of Texarkana, Texas, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, in Dallas.

Ms. Florence was born Sept. 6, 1939, in Texarkana. She was a retired bank teller and member of Dunbar Alumni Association and Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, where she was church secretary, usher and in mission ministries. 

Survivors include one son, Victor Florence of San Antonio; two daughters, Natalie Roberts of Texarkana and Regina Florence of Abu Dhabi, UAE; one brother, Lonnie Matthews of Texarkana; five sisters, Jesslyn Johnson and Ethel Gray of Dallas, Bobby Gray and Patsy Juniel of Texarkana and Beatrice Williams of Queen City, Texas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Closed casket services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church with the Rev. Warren Smith officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under direction of Haynes Mortuary.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
