SHIRLEY TURNER

Shirley Jean Thomason Turner, 74, of Texarkana, Ark., died Friday, March 29, 2013, at her home.

Mrs. Turner was born March 16, 1939, in Texarkana. She was a homemaker and a member of South Texarkana Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Carl Lee Thomason and David Turner; and one granddaughter, Marla Jo Thomason.

Survivors include three sons, Carl Thomason, Danny Thomason and Calvin Thomason; five daughters, Shirley Smith, Susie Thomason, Cendy Thomason, Benita Rouw and Debbie Swilley; two brothers, Dennis and Buddy; 11 sisters, Vera, Sheila, Laverne, Carolyn, Janet, Zelda, Tina, Marie, Allene, Bobbie and Lois; 38 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Corinth Church of Christ with the Rev. Ken Easley and Oscar Rodriguez officiating. Burial will be in Corinth Cemetery under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
