JIMMY HICKS

Jimmy Lenard “J.L.” Hicks, 71, of Maud, Texas, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at his home.

Mr. Hicks was born April 17, 1942, in Texarkana, Ark. He was a retired millwright and a Baptist.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Annjannette and Scott Chapman of Maud and Audrey and Ty Dick of Canyon City, Colo.; one son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Debbie Hicks of Hooks, Texas; one sister, Kathryn Chiles of Maud; two brothers, Wayne Hicks and Charles Hicks of Maud; six grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 3 p.m. today at Faith Community Baptist Church, Maud, with the Rev. Augustine Alaniz officiating. Burial will be in Center Ridge Cemetery under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
