PEARL NELSON

Pearl Nelson, 103, of Doddridge, Ark., died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at her home.

Mrs. Nelson was born April 22, 1910, in Doddridge. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, M.J. Nelson; two sons; and one daughter.

Survivors include three sons, Thelonzo Nelson of Texarkana, Fate L. Nelson of Doddridge and Delenis Nelson of Wake Village, Texas; four daughters, Corelia Holmes of Doddridge, Warnetta Vaughn of Trenton, Tenn., and Vernis Norman and Jeanette Gray of Kansas City, Mo.; 30 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at New Hope Baptist Church with David Boone and the Rev. Donnell Johnson officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery under direction of Haynes Mortuary.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
