MELBADENE KENNEDY

ATLANTA, Texas—Melbadene Kennedy, 83, of Atlanta died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, in a Texarkana, Texas, hospital.

Mrs. Kennedy was born Sept. 7, 1931, in Cass County, Texas. She was a homemaker and member of Smyrna Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Kennedy Jr.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Roland and Sandra Kennedy of Atlanta; one daughter, Sandra Stuckey of Atlanta; one brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Dottie Chamblee of Atlanta; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Smyrna Cemetery with Gene Parker officiating. Burial will be under direction of Hanner Funeral Service.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
