RODNEY TAYLOR

Rodney “Rod” Taylor, 77, of Hooks, Texas, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014, at his home.

Mr. Taylor was born Oct. 6, 1937, in Nash, Texas. He was a retired dairy farmer and from Red River Army Depot and a member of the C-5 Red Lick-Leary Volunteer Fire Department, the Disabled American Veterans and Church on the Rock and an Army veteran.

Survivors include Mary Lou Lawrence Taylor; two sons and daughters-in-law, Scottie and Ann Taylor and Pat and Katie Kyer; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susie and William Hoofman and Pam and John Sellers; one brother, Ellis Wayne Taylor; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Red Lick United Methodist Church with John Miller officiating. Burial will be in Red Lick Cemetery under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
