JAMES SHEPARD

James E. Shepard, 82, of Ogden, Ark., died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014, in Ogden.

Mr. Shepard was born Sept. 26, 1932, in Ogden. He was retired from Day & Zimmerman and a DJ with Kosy 790 AM.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, James R. and Cherise Shepard of Los Angeles; two daughters and one son-in-law, Deborah and Johnny Hatchett of Arlington, Texas, and Sheryl Williams of Los Angeles; three granddaughters, Jasmin Hatchett and Kyra Hatchett of Arlington, Texas, and Shayla Williams of Little Rock; one grandson, J’Nei Ramon Shepard of Los Angeles; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hickory Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. Joe N. Rochelle and Paul Keener officiating. Burial will be in Armstrong Cemetery under direction of Jones Stuart Mortuary.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Ogden, Ark.
