RUTHIE MAE TYLER

Ruthie Mae Tyler, 86, of Ashdown, Ark., died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, in a Texarkana, Texas hospital. Mrs. Tyler was born June 18, 1929, in Ashdown. She was retired from Chicago School District food service and a member of Red Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Tyler; and one daughter, Valerie Renee Tyler. Survivors include two brothers, Charles Northcross of Ashdown and Fletcher Lemuell of Shreveport, La.; one grandson, Elijah Storrs of Ashdown; one special cousin, Jessie Mae Hamilton; and one special friend, Vonya Fitzgerald. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Red Oak Grove Baptist Church, Ashdown, with the Rev. Leon Talton officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under direction of Lyles Funeral Home.
