CARL HINTON

MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas.—Carl Wayne Hinton Sr., 72, of Mount Pleasant died Saturday, June 27, 2015, in a local hospital.

Mr. Hinton was born Feb. 20, 1943, in Pittsburg, Texas. He was a wireman and IBEW Journeyman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Hinton.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Carl and Amy Hinton and Shane and Kristy Hinton of Mount Pleasant; two brothers, Sam Hinton of Pittsburg, Texas and Johnny Hinton of Mount Pleasant; one sister, Shirley Allen of Mount Pleasant; three grandchildren, Cody Hinton, Kerston Hinton and Carl Wayne “Tripp” Hinton III of Mount Pleasant; one great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. today at First Baptist Church, Mount Pleasant, with Dr. Clint Davis officiating. Burial will be in Coopers Chapel under direction of Bates Cooper Sloan Funeral Home.
