ADDIE STOKES

PARSONS, Kan.—Addie L. Stokes, 94, of Oswego, Kan., died Monday, Sept. 28, 2015, in an Oswego nursing home.

Mrs. Stokes was born Nov. 9, 1920, in Point, Texas. She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy, Maud, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. “Louie” Stokes; and one daughter, Sadie Marie Stokes.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Helen “Jill” and Ivan Darland of Oswego; one brother, John Carter of Lebanon, Ore.; one granddaughter and spouse, Lisa and Josiah Bayless; two great-grandchildren, Addison Bayless and Jeriah Bayless; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Thursday in Center Ridge Cemetery, Maud, under direction of Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, Parsons.
