LAS VEGAS—Charles "Charlie" Gormley, 84, of Las Vegas died Tuesday, July 26, 2016. Mr. Ghormley was born March 28, 1932, in Arkansas. He was owner of Las Vegas Hush Puppy Restaurant, owner of restaurants in Bakersfield, Calif., Phoenix, and Texarkana, and a former Nevada test site lineman. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Ghormley; three sons and two spouses, Roger and Frances Ghormley, Michael Ghormley and Scott and Stacy Ghormley; one sister, Glenda Berg; two nephews, Johnny McDonald of Little Rock and Lonnie McDonald of Alexandria, La.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Aug. 6 at Shadow Hills Church, Las Vegas. Burial will be in Bunker's Memory Gardens under direction of Palm South Jones Mortuary. Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
