LUCILLE NORTON

Lucille Smith Norton, 97, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, July 29, 2016, in a local nursing home. Mrs. Norton was born Nov. 15, 1918, in Fouke, Ark. She was a retired day care owner and a member of Highland Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Norton. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Kaye Norton of Wake Village, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and John Daniel of Venus, Texas, and Sandy and Bobby Marvel of Texarkana; one sister, Ruth Hart of Bossier City, Texas; two brothers, A.R. Smith of Meridian, Miss., and Gene Smith of Fouke, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas, with Chris Hooten and Todd Partin officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
