WILLIAM AMMONS

PRESCOTT, Ark.—William "Red" Ammons, 97, of Prescott died Friday, July 29, 2016, in a local hospital. Mr. Ammons was born June 4, 1919, in Willisville, Ark. He was a retired house mover and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by one son, William Herschel Ammons; and one grandson, William Douglas Ammons. Survivors include his wife, Vivian Ammons of Prescott; one son and daughter-in-law, James and Judy Ammons of Prescott; one daughter, Mary Ann Elledge of Blevins, Ark.; one brother and sister-in-law, Archie and Louise Ammons of Cale, Ark.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Bluff City, Ark. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
