Corine J. O'Dell

Corine J. O'Dell, 94, of Hope, AR died Sunday, October 30, 2016. She was born in Stamps, AR, the sixth child of Milner and Ruth Owen Jackson on August 1, 1922. Corine graduated from Stamps High School in 1940, she worked as a saleslady for 50 years at Foster's Shoe Store, and she was a longtime member of the Hope Church Of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers: Owen, Willis, Youman, and Leslie Jackson; two sisters: Nora (Jackson) Smith and Ruth (Jackson) Lewis; the Father of her three children Gilbert O'Dell and her precious daughter Rebecca Ruth O'Dell Parks Wiley. She is survived by one son John Wallace O'Dell, Sr. and wife Gayle of Harrison, AR and one daughter Mary Jane O'Dell Ball and husband Bo of Fayetteville, AR. Nine grandchildren: John Wallace, Jr. and Maribeth O'Dell, Shannon and Cindy O'Dell, Dione and Gerald Chaffin, April O'Dell Bennett, Greta Parks, Lana and Gary Davis, Lynn and Jennifer Ball, Chad and Kara Ball, and Aaron Ball; eighteen great grandchildren: John Wallace O'dell III (Trey), Evan and K.J. O'Dell, Cody Chaffin, Anna and Sara O'Dell, Cami Chaffin, Breanne O'Dell, Hilary and Brad Chunn, Samantha and Danny Harrington, Caroline and Olivia Parks, Abby and Grace Bennett, Lauren, Ashley, Braxton, and Avery Ball; three great great grandchildren: Parker and Penelope Chunn, and Delilah Corine Parks; two sisters: Helen Jackson Ray of Tyler, TX and Hazel Marie Jackson Waddell and husband Ed of Sherwood, AR and one brother Robert Henry Jackson of El Dorado, AR. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Herndon Pharr Funeral Home in Hope. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 11:00 am at Herndon Pharr Funeral Home in Hope, with interment to follow in Lakeside Cemetery in Stamps, AR, under the direction of Herndon Pharr Funeral Home of Hope, AR.
