Jo Self Sellars, age 84, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Hospice of Texarkana. Jo was born April 16, 1932, in Corley, Texas to Charlie and Alta Adcock. She was retired from Christus St. Michael Health System; and was a member of the Atlanta Church of God. She loved spending time with family and at church as well as crocheting, cooking and shopping. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Raymond "Billy" Self; daughter, Daryl Jo Self-Payne; two great-grandsons, Preston Maxwell and Kason Drake. She is survived by her husband, Vernon Sellars of Atlanta, Texas; son, Stan Self of Texarkana, Arkansas; two daughters, Deborah Prator and husband Mark of Wasilla, Alaska, Pat Stanley and husband Lee of Atlanta, Texas; step-son, Kenneth Sellars of Baltimore, Maryland; four step-daughters, Golda Williamson and husband Harry of Laurel, Delaware, Barbara Dunbar and husband Dwayne of Drexel, Missouri, Marie Kasper and husband Dave of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sue Wilson and husband John of Stanton, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, Todd Self, Jessica Johnson and husband Mark, David Prator, Laura Maxwell and husband Kyle, Brandon Stanley and wife Andrea, Lindsey Drake and husband Jason, Bryant Stanley and wife Heather, Lauren Allday and husband Frank, Adam Self; great-grandchildren, Damon Lee Stanley, Brynnlee Self, Emma Maxwell, Kolt Prator, Karson Prator,Madeline Corn, Autumn Meserole, Landin Drake, Lane Drake, Bryson Stanley and Anna Stanley; seventeen step-grandchildren; thirty-four step-great-grandchildren with one on the way in 2017; and two step-great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at the Atlanta, Church of God, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service, with Bro. Chris Miller officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service. Interment will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens, Texarkana, Texas.
