ARTHUR BOYD

NAPLES, Texas—Arthur Wayne Boyd, 91, of Omaha, Texas, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, in Longview, Texas. Mr. Boyd was born Dec. 28, 1925, in Lubbock, Texas. He was a farmer, a member of First United Methodist Church, Woodrow, Texas, and a Merchant Marines veteran. He was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Boyd. Survivors include his wife, Bernice Boyd of Omaha; two sons and three daughters-in-law, Larry and Janie Boyd of Lubbock and J.P. and Bonnie Boyd and Connie Boyd of Omaha; one sister and brother-in-law, Rosemary and C.G. Dodd of Wheeler of Texas; eight grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 3 p.m. Friday at Harrison Funeral Home with Dwaine Higgins and James Baker officiating, and 11 a.m. Monday at Sanders Funeral Home, Lubbock. Burial will be in City of Lubbock Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at Harrison Funeral Home and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at Sanders Funeral Home.
