CLARKSVILLE, Texas—Watha Jo Henderson Stroud, 82, of Clarksville died Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, in a Plano, Texas hospital. Mrs. Stroud was born July 20, 1935, in Hugo, Okla. She was a second -grade teacher in Clarksville, former teacher in Dallas, a member of ETMC Auxiliary, New Century Club, Red River Retired Teachers, Red River Public Library, Winmore Sunday School Class, and McKenzie Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Frank B. Stroud; two sons, Keith Henderson Stroud of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and Kenneth Berry Stroud of College Station, Texas; one daughter-in-law Rori Stroud of Sulphur Springs, Texas; two grandchildren, Sadie Stroud and Ty Stroud of Sulphur Springs; and two nephews, Pat Stroud of Sachse, Texas, and Brian Stroud of Albertville, Minn. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at McKenzie Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerry Colgrove officiating. Burial will be 2 p.m. in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hugo, Okla., under direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
