VERNICE BLOCK

HOPE, Ark.—Vernice M. Block, 58, of Emmet, Ark., died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018, in a Little Rock, Ark., hospital. Mrs. Block was born July 5, 1960. She was formerly employed with C.A.C.P. Services and a member of St. Paul Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ricky L. Block and one daughter, Alanna L. Block. Survivors include two children and one spouse, Cassandra Block of Emmet and Ricky J. and Bridgette Block of Prescott, Ark.; her mother, Lois Love of Emmet; one sister, Cathy McFadden of Mineral Springs, Ark.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Tracy L. and Tammy Love and James A. and Mable Love of Emmet; four grandchildren; 16 nieces and nephews; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Baptist Church, Emmet. Burial will be in Snell Cemetery under direction of Hicks Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
