LARRY HOOD

ATLANTA, Texas—Larry E. Hood, 76, of Marietta, Texas, died Friday, June 28, 2019, in a Mount Pleasant, Texas hospital. Mr. Hood was born Oct. 21, 1942. He was retired from International Paper and a member of Christian Motorcycle Association and Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one son, Billy Stone. Survivors include his wife, Shelva Hood of Marietta; three children and two spouses, Mark and Christine Hood of Prosper, Texas, Sonya and Jeff Bowen of Claxton, Ga., and Kirk Stone of Marietta; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James Arthur and Shari Hood of Seguin, Texas, and Danny and Patsy Hood of Sarepta, La.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Hanner Funeral Service. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Marietta. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
