CHRIS WOOD

Christopher Lynn Wood, 57, of Texarkana, Texas, passed away November 28, 2019, with his family by his side. Chris was born January 15, 1962, in Texarkana, Texas. He worked for Red River Army Depot for years, where he was an electrician. He was an active member of Family Word Church, and loved attending services there. He enjoyed fishing, going to the lake, and working on and racing cars and jet boats. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Wood. Survivors include his two sons, Mitchel Wood and Daniel Wood of Texarkana, Texas; his mother Betty Wood, of Texarkana, Texas; three brothers and their spouses, Wade Wood of Magnolia, Arkansas, Pat and Debbie Wood of Simms, Texas and Curt and Kimber Wood of Texarkana, Texas; his former spouse, Joan Wood of Texarkana, Arkansas and his nieces and nephews, Holli Wood, Cole Wood, Austen Wood, Carson Wood, Eden Wood, Britney Bond, Erica Bowser, Jacob Bond, and Lauren McElfresh, his Aunts and Uncles; Mike and Patsy Rybiski, Judy Rybiski, Donna Stipe, Maurice Wood, Linda Settle, Byron Wood, Julia Gilbert, along with numerous cousins and friends. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday at Chapelwood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 am Monday, December 2, 2019, at Chapelwood Funeral Home with Pastor Tracy Harris officiating.
