MICHAEL CHILDERS

Michael "Chilli" Childers of De Kalb, Texas passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019 at a Houston, Texas hospital. He was 59. Chilli was born May 26, 1960 to Don and Juanella Beggs Childers. On March 10, 2013, he was married to Chastity Marie Burris in New Boston, Texas. He was owner and operator of De Kalb Tree Specialists and was a member of Godley Prairie Community Church in New Boston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Don Childers. He is survived by his wife, Chastity Childers of De Kalb, Texas; his mother, Juanella Freeman of De Kalb, Texas; three daughters, Jennifer Childers of De Kalb, Texas, Amanda Childers of New Boston, Texas and Celaska Childers of De Kalb, Texas; a son, Corey Childers of De Kalb, Texas; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Renee and Gordon Graham of New Boston, Texas and Rhonda and James Morehead of Daingerfield, Texas; 10 grandchildren; a soon to be born great grandchild; and numerous other relatives and friends. Services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Rev. Jimmy Ramsey and Rev. Charles Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery in Simms, Texas. Visitation will be held 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
