Effie Lucille (Wiggins) Andrews, born July 3, 1946, passed from this life on March 22, 2021 in Queen City TX surrounded by her loving family. She was 74 years old. Effie is preceded in death by her parents Horton Wiggins Sr and Willie C (Webster) Wiggins; brothers Horton Wiggins Jr and Wallace Wiggins; and sister Dorothy Wiggins. She is survived by her beloved husband Billy Lee Andrews Sr of Queen City TX; sons Billy Lee Andrews Jr and wife Sheila of Queen City TX, and George Andrews of Queen City TX; daughters Mary Andrews of Atlanta TX and Pamela Andrews of Queen City TX; brother Bobby Wiggins of Queen City TX; sisters Nettie Rogers and husband Clarence of Texarkana TX, and Maxine Browner of Los Angeles CA; grandchildren Brian O'Keith Dowden, Roslein Robinson, Sidney Andrews, Cordrelle Jackson, and Kamron Andrews; great-grandchildren Zamarian and Zalissya Ivory, Rhyleigh Andrews, and Azariah Dowden; special niece Tichina Wiggins of Marshall TX; caretaker Chadnee Knox; special friend Arina Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends. Effie was an active and devoted member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Queen City TX. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and she showed the love of Christ by helping whomever she could whenever she could. If you were blessed with the opportunity to indulge in her cooking, you were blessed to taste some of the best food in East Texas! She worked as a cook for numerous establishments. She retired from Queen City ISD after twenty plus years of service. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, nana, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved taking care of her family. She was a mom and friend to more than just her children and grandchildren. To be around her was to be around love, fun, and laughter. Effie Lucille (Wiggins) Andrews will lie in repose on Friday, April 2, 2021 at Queen City Funeral Home from 1:00pm-6:00pm. A graveside service in her honor will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Queen City Cemetery beginning at 11:00am. Interment will follow immediately.
