Lena Sue Nix

January 06, 1925 - March 29, 2022 Lena Sue Nix (formerly of Fort Worth) passed away peacefully in her home in Texarkana, Texas on March 29, 2022. Lena was born in Hugo, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Lee Elbert Sattawhite Sr. and Hazel Beech Dodson. She was an architect, an avid artist and draftsman. Lena moved to Texarkana in 1975. She attended Heritage and Oasis Community Church. She is survived by her children Lulynn Lawshe Foster of Texarkana, Texas, Gayland Lawshe and spouse Susan of Hurst, Texas, Bryan Lawshe and spouse Pam of Burleson, Texas, seven grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and sister Elaine Shafer of Fort Worth, Texas. Hospice of Texarkana, special caregiver Cindy Burk and sitter Deb Moor. Lillian Sattawhite, sister-in-law. Services April 7, 2022, 2:30 pm at Greenwood Funeral Home in Fort Worth, Texas and burial following the service.
