Llvay Ford

Llvay (Ponder) Ford, age 94, of Texarkana, Texas passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. Llvay was born June 16, 1928 in Nashville, AR to George Washington Ponder and Grace Cornish Ponder. She married Dexter Ford on December 15, 1945. She was a member of Beech Street First Baptist Church, Texarkana, AR and retired from Ben F. Smith’s Department Store. Llvay enjoyed traveling, cooking, and sewing while making sure that her family was well taken care of. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; siblings, Hamilton Bennet Ponder, Charlie Ponder Propps, Dora Dean Ponder Porterfield, Aaron Cruse Ponder, Adella Jo Ponder Rowe, Ruth Ellen Ponder Kale and Olene Ponder; and granddaughter, Misha Polk. Survivors include her children, Larry Ford and wife, Cindy of Texarkana, TX and Lynn Ford Siebel of Texarkana, TX; sister, Mary Lynn Ponder Cornish; two grandchildren, Paul Michael Ford and Christopher Robert Ford; great grandchildren, Rachel Ford Lenard, Tatum Ford, Dax Ford and Nima Ford; great great grandchildren, Summer Lenard and Wyatt Lenard (soon); and a number of nieces and nephews and friends. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2022 at East Memorial Chapel - Moores Lane with Dr. Eric Chaffin officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home - Moores Lane. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
