Reynaldo (Rey) Acevedo

Reynaldo (Rey) Acevedo, age 75, of Atlanta, Texas, passed from this life Sunday, August 7, 2022. He was born November 18, 1946, in Hebbron-ville, Texas, to Jose and Tresa Acevedo. Rey was a member of the Ironworkers Union # 623; and the Church of Jesus Christ the Latter Day Saints. He enjoyed restoring old cars and his favorite was his 62 Chevy Impala that he drove when he and Hazel began dating. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Joe, Roel, Rene’, Rudolfo (Fito), Juanita, Roberto and Sylvia; and by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Hazel Acevedo of Atlanta, Texas; his children, Marcus Acevedo of Atlanta, Texas, Lance Acevedo and wife Crystal of Atlanta, Texas, Leandra Wommack and husband Marshall of Pfluggerville, Texas, Kurtis Acevedo and wife Wendy of Bloomburg, Texas; ten grandchildren and one on the way; and a number of other relatives and a host of friends. Graveside services will be 10:00 am, Friday, August 12, 2022 at Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service with Kurtis Acevedo officiating.
