Donald Paul LeGrand, 74, of Bastrop Louisiana sadly passed away at his home, on August 28, 2022 of Lewy Body dementia and Parkinson’s, with his loving family by his side. He was born to Margie and Andrew Prince LeGrand, on January 31st, 1948, in Texarkana, Texas. Don graduated from Texas High and served in the Marines, before joining the family business, A.P. Supply Company. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Linda LeGrand; their children, daughter, Jennifer (John) Dowdell of Lutz, Florida; and, son Don Paul, Jr of Monroe, Louisiana; and, two grandchildren, Johnathan and Lauren Dowdell of Lutz, Florida. Don is also survived by his sister, Nina LeGrand of Texarkana, Arkansas, and numerous nieces and nephew. Don was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Andy LeGrand; and, his sister-in-law, Betty LeGrand. Don had a kind loving heart, loyal to a fault, was a man of his word, and conducted business on a handshake. He was known as the ultimate peacemaker and loved to bring laughter to everyone. Don was an avid golfer; and, when not at the family business, could be found at the golf course. Don was the Vice-President of A.P. Supply Company, which opened the Bastrop branch in 1983. A.P. Supply was one of the longest running companies in Bastrop, until the company sold to Ferguson Industrial in March 2022. The Celebration of Life will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 217 Harrington Ave, Bastrop, LA, with the Rosary beginning at 9:30 am, Visitation from 10-11 am; and the Mass at 11:00 am.
