She is reunited with her husband, Charles Thomas “Tommy” Powell III and her sister Diane “Cookie” Howe-Ramos. She was a resident of the Liberty-Eylau community for 37 years and a faithful member of Liberty-Eylau Baptist Church. The sisters and their children and grandchildren shared many adventures together including exploring the creeks of Beverly Heights and traversing the rivers and lakes in Arkansas and Texas. Mom had a love for driving, from go carts as a young girl on the family’s track to dirt roads in her ‘69 Camaro. She loved to watch her grandchildren’s activities including baseball, soccer and dance. Treva Ann was the first female drummer at Texas High School. She loved music and even attended a concert for her favorite band, The Beatles in Dallas with her sister Glynna. She loved animals and was a devoted mom to many including Sunshine, Abby, Boz and Levi. Mom was blessed with two special lifelong best friends Nora Patterson and Vikki Goodson. The family also wishes to honor her neighbors, Salvador and Amber Hernandez as well as Treva’s church family for all the love and care they offered. A Celebration of her life will be held at Liberty-Eylau Baptist Church at 3:30 PM on Friday, December 9, 2022, with Dr. Dwight Lowrie and D. Lowrie officiating.
