Alleck Charles Bohuslav, age 101 was welcomed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus Christ on December 13, 2022 with his wife of 74 years and his sons by his side. Alleck was born July 28, 1921 to Adolf and Mathilda (Hajak) Bohuslav at the family farm outside Hallettsville in Lavaca County, Texas. He was predeceased by his parents, his step-mother Mary and all his siblings. George, Victor, Archie, Leon, Daniel and Ida Lee Bohuslav. Alleck served in the Army Air Corp during World War II as a Sargent of the 38th Bomber Group in the Pacific. After the War Alleck attended the University of Texas and the University of Houston. After his retirement from Shell Oil Company Alleck and Marian traveled throughout the United States and other countries. He was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Atlanta, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Marian; his four boys, Kenneth (Jean), Larry (Suzie), Craig (Debbie), Gary (Monica); ten grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. He will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa and friends. A rosary will be held at 6:00 pm, Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Hanner Funeral Service with a visitation immediately following the rosary until 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am, Friday, December 16, 2022, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
