CLARENCE “Monkey” BEARD

Clarence “Monkey” Beard, age 75, of Ashdown, AR was born September 9, 1947, to Claude Beard and Mallie Edward of Ashdown, Arkansas. Monkey peacefully left his earthly home surrounded by his loved ones, early in the wee hours of December 12, 2022, around the same time he would normally wake up to get ready to go to work as a truck driver for over 45 years. He enjoyed sharing stories with his grandkids and he never met a stranger. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Claude Beard and Mallie (Edward) Beard of Ashdown, AR, daughter, Sherry Beard. Along with, sisters, Katie Lee Perry, Judy Rupe, and brother, Charles Beard. Left to cherish and remember Clarence is his loving wife of 56 years, Marsha, son, Tony and wife, Jennifer, 6 grandchildren, Candice Guilliams, Asphen Beard, Joshua Beard, Shulyia Beard, Aaliyah Nutt, and Journey Gulley, and 4 great-grandchildren, Presley Guilliams, Austin Guilliams, Braiden Britt, and Reagan Beard, one sister, Sharon Dildey, and Janice Ferguson of Texarkana, AR and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial celebration of the life of Clarence “Monkey” Beard will be held Friday, Dec 16, 2022 at the Assembly of God located at 150 S. Walker Street Ashdown, Arkansas beginning at 3:00pm for all to attend. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Tri-State Cremation and Funeral Services. The family would like to thank Dierksen Hospice for their dedicated care and compassion.
