ZELMA EASTERLING

Zelma Nadine Easterling, age 98, passed away Monday, December 19, 2022, at a local nursing facility. Mrs. Easterling was born April 27, 1924 in Bodcaw, Arkansas, to James Dennis and Ollie Octavia May. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, James Easterling; their son James Carroll Easterling; her brothers Willard May, Haldane May; her sisters Mildred Marlar, Nina Pickard, Velora Campbell; and a special niece Nina Kathy Campbell. She is survived by their daughter Marilyn Hughes (Sam), brother James Denton May (Mary), grandsons Larry Hughes (Debra), Brian Hughes, Jeff Easterling (Cindy), Doug Easterling (Linda), daughter-in-law Kathleen Easterling Slay, great-grandchildren Renee’ Jones (Brandon), Andrew Hughes (Taylor), Brett Hughes (Ashton), Michael Hughes, Melissa Martin, Matthew Hughes, Morgan Hughes, Jessica Cook (Bobby), Danna Nolan (Mike), Amanda Easterling, Dalton Easterling, Laiken Easterling; great-great-grandchildren Natalie, Easton, Caleb, Preston, Kaylie, Ella, Axel, Lillian, Avery, Emma, Claire, Addyson, Aurora, & Maizy; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Friday, 2P.M. December 23, 2022, at Corinth Cemetery, Bodcaw, Arkansas, under direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home Inc. in Stamps, Ar.
