David Glen Draper

David Glen Draper, age 82, of Tyler, Texas, formerly of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord Monday, December 19, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family. David was born August 31, 1940, in Atlanta, Texas, to Claude and Susie Draper. He was a retired delivery driver for a wholesale florist as well as a long haul driver for J.B. Hunt and was a member of Tyler Tabernacle. He enjoyed playing guitar and singing at church and in the community. David also enjoyed working with leather making all sorts of goods. He was preceded in death by his sons, Jon David Draper, Terry Steven Draper; sisters, Ruth Glendenning, Kathryn Wright; brother, W.T. “Dub” Draper; and his parents, Claude and Susie Draper. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Draper; sons, Darryl Glenn Draper, Richard Dale Draper and wife Melody, Sammy Dean Draper and wife Ladena; brothers, Joe Draper, Bonny Draper; sister, Linda Rube; daughter-in-law, Sherry Draper; grandchildren, Marissa and husband Seth, Cherish and husband Lee, Brandon and wife Harley, Sarah, Katie and husband Kolton, Victoria, Elizabeth, William, Spencer and wife Hope; and a number of great-grandchildren and other relatives. Visitation will be Monday, December 26, 2022 from 11 am to 1 pm at Hanner Funeral Service. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm, Monday, December 26, 2022 at Antioch Cemetery, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service with Pastor Mike Littlefield officiating.
