Mrs. Joyce Marie Stuart, daughter of the late Willie Denmon and Lenora Denmon was born September 6, 1940 in Texarkana, AR. She was a Booker T. Washington graduated of 1959. She professed her faith in Jesus Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of the Macedonia Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher, member of the mission ministry, served on the usher board, bulletin board committee, special building fund, and the parade committee. She was united in holy matrimony to Joe Lee Stuart, Sr. in July 1959. This union was blessed with three children. Mrs. Stuart was a licensed vocational nurse and a teacher’s aide for the Texas Independent School District. As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, she was loved by many. Her Christian life was as beautiful as the flowers that she loved so well. She quietly departed this life on Monday, January 31, 2022 in her home in Texarkana, TX. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Willie Wells and Mayola Murrell. Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Joe Lee Stuart, Jr., Linda Stuart, and Dr. Brenda Stuart -(Murphy) Howell all of Texarkana; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren; brothers, Joe Charles Denmon, Texarkana, Earnest Charles Denmon, American Canyon, CA and Leon (Thee Opal) Denmon, Florissant, MO, sister, Margaret Thompson, and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A walk-through visitation will be 3:00-6:00 p.m. Friday at Lyles Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Closed casket service for Mrs. Stuart will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Memorial Gardens with Rev. Reginal Reid delivering words of comfort and Rev. Orienthal Newburn Sr as the eulogist. Interment to follow in Memorial Garden. Masks are required at all services. Online registrations at lylesfuneralhomeinc.com.
