William Shaw

William Jerold Shaw, age 61, of Maud, Texas passed away on February 9, 2022. He was born on March 21, 1960, in Miami, Florida to William Whittington and Irene Squib. Mr. Shaw spent his working days as a correctional officer at Barry B. Telford Unit in New Boston, Texas where he retired from after 17 years. In his free time, he enjoyed shooting his guns, ranting on Facebook, and spending time with his grandkids. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Eleanor Shaw. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Denise Shaw of Maud, Texas, 5 children; Beth Payne (Devin) of Mulberry, Arkansas, Jessica Robinson (Kris) of Chicago, Illinois, Victoria Hooker of Atlanta, Texas, Aaron Shaw of Maud, Texas, and Ashley Shaw of Wake Village, Texas and 7 grandchildren; Gavin Gilbert, Abigail McCoy, Shianne and Kermit Robinson, Alyvia, Owen, and Zayn Hooker, and a number of other relatives and friends. A celebration of his life will be held at The Church of Christ in Maud, Texas, on Wednesday, February 16th at 12:00 PM for any family and friends who wish to come.
