Carl Jene Evans, age 83, of Redwater, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 4, 2022 in a local nursing home. Mr. Evans was born on July 26, 1938 in Hooks, Texas to his parents Alfred and Myrtle Evans. He was a lifelong resident of Redwater, where he owned and operated Evans Cattle Farm. He served our nation in the Army National Guard and retired from D & Z after forty years. He was the president of many things including the Pro Bass Fisherman’s Club, the Maud Gun Club, and the Industrial Board of Redwater. He loved fishing, hunting, and skeet shooting. He was also a member of Highland Park Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and a Sunday School teacher. He is preceded by his parents; wife, Wanda Evans; children, TG Evans, James Wallace, and Ronnie Evans; two brothers, Jimmie Evans, and Clarence Evans. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Tammy Stevenson; grandchildren, Michael Wallace and wife Amanda, Daniel Schwarck, Heather Beaty and husband Larry, Lori Son and husband Scotty, Clay Evans and wife Jade, Cody Evans and wife Karina, and Ashley Wright and husband Joel; niece, Lisa Evans; nephew Jeff Evans; and sister-in-law Johnnie Evans. Memorial services will be at 2:00pm on January 15, 2022, at Highland Park Baptist Church with Reverend Kevin Myers officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arise and Build Fund located at Highland Park Baptist Church. 2401 Hazel St. Texarkana, Texas 75503.
