JACK HAIRE SR.

Jack Wayne Haire, Sr. “Papaw”, age 90, of Texarkana, Texas, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at his home surrounded by loved ones. Jack is preceded in death by his loving wife, Aubyn Haire. Jack was born in DeSoto Parish Louisiana, Wallace Community on December 27, 1931 to the late Truman Lee and Hattie Bell Mayo Haire. Jack is a veteran who served in the United States Army with a rank of SPC. After the military, he worked for Nabisco as a salesman for 37 years. He was a deacon at First Baptist Church, Texarkana for many years where he enjoyed singing in the choir and serving on various committees to further the church’s mission of winning others to Christ. He also was a founding member of PGISD School Board. He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Morrow of Texarkana; son, Jack Wayne Haire, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Kenya; son, Jerry Haire of Texarkana; daughter, Shannon Gardner and son-in-law, Rodney of Forney, Texas; three grandsons, TJ Morrow, Braxton Tipton, and Landon Haire; eight granddaughters, Haleigh Garrett, Brittney Elliott, Rachel Russell, Mollie Morrow, Chelsea Chapman, Shelby Mesh, Makinley Tipton and Rylie Tipton; four great-grandsons; nine great-granddaughters; two sisters, Annette ‘Aunt Red’ Perrin and the late Maryann Hinds of Louisiana; brother, the late Waymon Haire and sister-in-law, Bobby Nell Haire, the late Valrey Haire and late sister-in-law, Jessie Haire of Louisiana, sister-in-law, MaryAnn Murphy of Missouri; and a multitude of nieces, nephews and surrogate grandchildren that were so very special to him. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church, Texarkana Atrium with the Reverend Billy Pierce, a friend of the family, officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2022 from 2:00- 4:00 PM at Texarkana Funeral Home on Texas Boulevard. Arrangements are under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
