Jeanne Margaret Brandon, age 80, of Wake Village, Texas passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. She was born March 20, 1942 in Brighton, MI. Jeanne was a servant and caregiver in her community. She chose a career in nursing later in life, after her children were grown. She earned her BSN from UT-Arlington, and for over 30 years, cared for patients at Wadley Regional Medical Center, St. Michael’s Hospital, several nursing homes, and was a Hospice nurse in the Texarkana area. Many of her patients regarded her as close family because of her unwavering compassion and around-the-clock dedication. Jeanne had an endearing nature and wicked sense of humor. She loved shitzus and shopping. She rooted for the Cowboys and kept a beautiful home—the heart of many family holiday gatherings and milestone celebrations. Jeanne is survived by her beloved husband Dwight Brandon; two sons and daughters-in-law Gary Scott & Emily Knaupe of Texarkana, and Gregg & Allison Knaupe of Austin; sister Marilyn Probstfeld of Texarkana; brother Bob Probstfeld of Branson, MO; grandchildren Brandi, April, Bobby, Brandon, Matthew, Ely and Benjamin; and 12 great-grandchildren. Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Florence Probstfeld, and daughter Debbie Foster. We are comforted in knowing she is reunited in heaven with her two very best friends, her mother and daughter. In true form, Jeanne didn’t want to make a fuss. She requested no memorial service. To honor her, please make a donation to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at givenow.lls.com. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.eastfuneralhomes.com for the Brandon family.
