William Stacy Stephens, 67, Passed away Feb. 17, 2022. Stacy was born in Texarkana, Ark., and had moved back to Texarkana in recent years. He served in the U.S. Air Force for eight years. He lived in Coco Beach, Fla., where he retired from his Civil Service Career supporting NASA’s space program and over 50 space shuttle launches flown out of Cape Canaveral. One of his biggest achievements in his career was supporting the first ever Mars Rover launch. Stacy loved cars, motorcycles, fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his grandparents all who were Texarkana residents: Hazel and Jack Barnes, Hardie and Pearl Stephens and Horace Reed. Stacy is survived by his parents, Hazel Earline and William H. (Buddy) Stephens; he leaves behind the best part of himself, his children Son, Jeremy Stephens and wife, Kristy; daughters, Angela Edelman and husband, Shawn, Melissa Bowermeister and husband, Bronson, and Sonya Stephens; 11 grandchildren; brother, Mark Stephens; and sister, Karen Osborn and husband, Randy. A private family service was held in Fort Worth, Texas on April 14, 2022, with full Military Honors along with the Patriot Guards participation.
