Roland Stuckey, age 86, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, May 24, 2022 in a local hospital. He was born June 22, 1935 in Cass, Texas to Lester and Ruby Nichols Stuckey. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1957 and was an avid Longhorn fan. Roland retired from TXDOT after 35 years and owned Bayou Bowling Lanes for many years. He was an active member of First Baptist Church, Atlanta and enjoyed traveling with his family, especially to bowling tournaments around the country. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Beverly Dell Stuckey; father, Lester Stuckey; mother, Ruby Nichols Stuckey; step mother, Erma Stuckey Dunlap; and his brother, J.W. Stuckey. Roland is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Pate Stuckey of Atlanta, Texas; son, Ron Stuckey of Atlanta, Texas; sister, Farrel Cutler and husband Richard of Lynden, Washington; nephew, Bob Cutler of Everett, Washington; nieces, Deborah Cutler of Columbus, Missouri, Leslie Stuckey Hall and husband Will of Richmond, Virginia; and a number of other nieces, nephews, family and friends. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Pine Crest cemetery, with Bro. Wes Mills officiating. Guest registry is available at www.hannerfuneralservice.com.
