Ruth Adams

Ruth Adams, age 80, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, formerly of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord Friday, May 27, 2022 in a Oklahoma City adult care facility. Ruth was born January 6, 1942, in Atlanta, Texas, to Harvey and Gracie Lawrence. She was an accountant having gone back to school late in life to receive her bachelor’s degree. She enjoyed crocheting and would make blankets and hats for the other residences and staff at the adult care facility where she lived and all the family and friends. She also enjoyed sports such as OU football, Tiger Woods and especially the Dallas Cowboys. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wayne Adams; and by her siblings, Frank Lawrence, Chester Lawrence, Leon Lawrence, LaNeal Lawrence, Barbra Bryant and Mother and Father. Grandchild Jennifer Adams. She is survived by five sons, Donald Adams of South Carolina, Joseph Adams and wife Kathleen of Vivian, Louisiana, Darryel Adams and wife Deb of Florida, Shane Adams and wife Chastity of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Michael Adams and wife Angela of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughter, Tiffany Adams of South Carolina; four sisters, Wynona Breit of Amarillo, Texas, Martha Pavuk of Grand Prairie, Texas, Charlotte Hudson of Midlothian, Texas, Laverne Landrum of McKinney, Texas; nineteen grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren; and other relatives and a host of friends. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, June 3, 2022 at Pine Crest Cemetery, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service with Bro. Matthew Carpenter officiating.
