TED RUMBO SR.

Ted D. Rumbo, Sr went to heaven on May 22, 2022 in his home; at the age of 75. Ted was born in Texarkana, AR on November 1, 1946 to Frank Rumbo and Teresa Ward Rumbo Kaps. Ted spent most of his early years in Texarkana, playing in the woods and spending many happy days with his Grandmother and Grandfather. In his teen years he lived in the Oakcliff area of Dallas where he attended Kimbal high school; while working various jobs Ted moved back to Texarkana where he raised his family, one daughter and two sons. He worked at various jobs, from owning a family grocery store and then working at Day and Zimmerman. While working for D & Z he worked his way up from working on the line to working in Human Resources. Later moving to Nebraska where he met his wife of 30 years. Ted is preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Ted is survived by his wife, Jan Nesbitt Rumbo of the home in Douglassville, one brother, Larry Rumbo and his wife Sherri of Black Hawk, Colorado; one daughter Lesha Rumbo Booth of Celina, Texas, two sons, Ted “Skooter” D. Rumbo, Jr and his wife Elizabeth of Douglassville, Texas and Stephen “Skipper” Rumbo and his wife Dee of Maud, Texas. Two step children, Josef Thompson and his wife Deb of Jacksonville, Florida; Amanda Horton and her husband Tim of Bethany, Oklahoma. Eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. A memorial remembrance gathering will be held July 10, 2022 from 1 to 4, at the home in Douglassville.
