THOMAS JEFFERSON

Thomas “Peewee” Jefferson, age 79 of New Boston, Tx, born to the late John Wesley and Anner Mary Jefferson on January 7, 1943, passed away Nov 4, 2022 from natural causes. Mr. Jefferson was a graduate of Central High in New Boston, Tx. Soon after graduating he enlisted in the U.S Army. He was a deacon of Prosperity Baptist church for many years. Thomas, also known as Jeff, was a Red River Army Depot retiree. He was a member of several community organizations and other clubs throughout the years. He was and has always been a devout Husband, father, brother, and friend to all who knew him and he never hesitated to help whenever he could. His light will be greatly missed. Jeff was preceded in death by his wife Naomi, his parents, two sisters: Earnestine Forte and Flora Richards and one daughter Jacqueline Fagan, whom he all loved dearly. He is survived by his sons Melvin (Joyce) Fagan and Reginald Jefferson: brothers John Jefferson, Donald (Dorothy) Jefferson, Wayne (Tammy) Jefferson, Terry and Jerry Jefferson: sisters Linda (Patrick) Moore, Jacinda (John) Gladney, Benitha (Anthony) Alexander, and Donna Batiste. Four grandchildren: Chandria Scott, Schluandria Fagan, Kaleb Jefferson and Nicholas Jefferson. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A funeral service will be held in his honor on Saturday Nov 19, 2022 at 11 am, Prosperity Baptist Church New Boston, Tx. The visitation will be held from 2:30-4:30 on Nov 18, 2022 at Haynes Mortuary Texarkana, Tx.
