James Burnice “Bo” Mangum, Jr.

James Burnice “Bo” Mangum, Jr., age 92, of Bloomburg, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, September 17, 2022 in a local hospice facility. He was born July 12, 1930 in Grove, Louisiana to James and Eula Mangum. Bo was a member of Westside Baptist Church and Bloomburg Masonic Lodge # 1007. He was retired from International Paper Co. and the Cass County Sheriff’s Department. Bo is preceded in death by his wife, Iris Mangum; daughter, Olivia Mangum; brother, Ray Mangum; sister, Linda Mangum; and his parents. He is survived by one son, James Burnice Mangum III and wife Debbie of Bloomburg, Texas; daughter, Gerri Turnage and husband James of Bloomburg, Texas; brother, Gerald Mangum; sister, Sharon Ann Tucker of Evergreen, Louisiana; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Westside Baptist Church, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service, officiated by Bro. Jim Howard. Visitation will be 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Hanner Funeral Service. Interment will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, September 21, 2022 in Shiloh Cemetery, Minden, Louisiana.
