Peggy Ann Brooks

Peggy Ann Brooks, age 73, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, September 25, 2022 in a local hospice facility. She was born April 14, 1949 in Atlanta, Texas to William and Anna Jesttes. Peggy attended Atlanta Church of God and enjoyed watching Family Feud and Perry Mason. She was the “glue” of the family. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Brooks, Sr; three brothers; and her parents. She is survived by two sons, Paul Brooks, Jr of Atlanta, Texas, Ronald Brooks of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Wanda Brooks of Atlanta, Texas, Anna Garza of Atlanta, Texas; one sister, Carolyn Upton and husband T.J. Brinegar of Irvine, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, Karesa Brooks, Christopher Brooks, Jonathan Brooks, Anthony Brooks, Amber Brooks-Falk and husband Jonathan, Aaron Forbes, Steven Garza, Jr, Sirena Garza, Savanna Henderson and husband Isaiah; numerous great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, September 30, 2022 in the Hanner Funeral Service Chapel, with Bro. Chris Miller officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, before the service.
