EVELYN WASHINGTON

Evelyn Louise Washington was born August 6, 1955 to Emanuel and Geneva Washington in Texarkana, Texas. She departed this earthly life on January 26, 2023. Evelyn was a member of Mt. Orange Baptist Church, Texarkana, Texas, a graduate of Dunbar High School, Texarkana, Texas, and a retired home health aide with Jordan Home Health. Her favorite hobbies included playing bingo, cards, and football boards. Evelyn Louise was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Jenny V. Sinclair and Joyce Smith, and brothers, Lunnie Washington, Earl Washington, Larry Washington and Johnnie Washington. She leaves to cherish her memories: brothers, Paul (Laura) Washington of Texarkana, TX and Frank Washington of Broken Bow, OK; sisters, Verna Tate and Angela Jackson of Texarkana, TX; god-brother, Jackie Tippens of Las Vegas, NV; special friend, Earnest Hankins of Texarkana, TX; special nieces, Shericka Campbell and Jannette Buchanan of Texarkana, TX; special nephews, Derrick Washington of Frisco, TX and Michael Washington of Texarkana, TX; aunts, Betty Henderson of Doddridge, AR and Birde Evans of Victorville, CA; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation for Evelyn Louise Washington will be 5 to 7 PM Friday, February 3, 2023 at Haynes Mortuary. Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Mt. Orange Baptist Church.
