JOHN CARTER

John Carter, age 42, of Texarkana, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at his home. John was born on April 9, 1981, in Texarkana, Texas. He was a loving father, caring brother, and devoted son. John was many things in life, including a tattoo artist, carpenter, and dog lover. His hobbies included fishing and creating beautiful pieces of art from wood. He is preceded in death by his son, Jacob Richard Carter and his niece, Anna Elise Gerber. Survivors include his parents, Billy and Pam Carter of Texarkana, Arkansas; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Tara and Gary Jeans of Texarkana, Arkansas, Amanda and Larry Davis of Nash, Texas, Mary Carter of Panama Beach City, Florida, and Tammy Ammons of Texarkana, Arkansas; his grandmother, Evelyn Stevens of Hooks, Texas and many uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Everett Baptist Church Cemetery with Joseph Carter officiating. Burial is under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas Blvd. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Texarkana, Funeral Home, on Texas Blvd.
